“I’ve had this on my heart to say for a while. I think what you all do is beautiful. While I was attending FranU, I participated in community service for my theology class in which I volunteered at a local hospice (New Century). My very first visit was to a client staying in your hospice house. I was completely in awe of how beautiful and peaceful it was. My subsequent visits were to nursing homes and homes. Your place, though I only went once, was by far the most impactful for me. Now that I’ve been a nurse for a bit at a hospital, doing hem/onc with inpatient hospice, I have an even greater appreciation for exactly what it is you do. And while I haven’t been to an inpatient hospice facility, I know that it can’t possibly touch the level of personal and home that you provide. I truly wish there was a place like this in Baton Rouge or Ascension that I could call my work home. Again, your work is beautiful, impactful, and inspiring to me, as I’m sure it is to others as well.”
