Dear Friends and family of the Richard Murphy Hospice Foundation:

As we reflect on the recent celebration, we are filled with gratitude for the success of the 2024 RMHF Gala. It was a remarkable evening, made possible by the dedication and hard work of so many. A heartfelt thank you to Ryan Barker and the incredible staff at Chappapeela Sports Park for their warm hospitality and unwavering support. Together with our talented vendors and gala committee, they transformed the gym into a stunning venue that captured the spirit of the night.

For the past seventeen years, the Richard Murphy Hospice House has had the privilege of serving over 2,000 terminally ill residents and their families, providing care at absolutely no cost. This vital service is sustained by the collective efforts of our community, including our Gala Chairs, the Gala Board, volunteers, sponsors, ticket purchasers, memorial donors, local restaurants, and everyone who contributed items for our silent and live auctions. Your support is what makes this mission possible.

We understand that the loss of a loved one is an incredibly challenging journey. Our goal at the Richard Murphy Hospice House is to alleviate some of that burden by offering comfort, a welcoming home, and peace of mind to our residents and their families. We are committed to providing compassionate care around the clock, ensuring that no family faces financial strain during such a difficult time. We are deeply honored by the trust families place in us, and we strive to honor that trust every day.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the many kind-hearted individuals who assist us in our daily operations. A special thank you to our regular volunteers, lawn care teams, professional service providers, the Board of Trustees, and the dedicated staff at the Hospice House. Your contributions—whether through delivering household products, providing meals, or simply offering a helping hand—are invaluable and greatly appreciated by the families we serve.

As we look ahead, please mark your calendars for next year’s gala, scheduled for September 2025 (exact date TBD), once again at Chappapeela Sports Park. We are excited to continue this tradition and raise funds for such a meaningful cause.
